Southern Karting is a monthly, full colour, A4 magazine covering Karting in the South of the country.
The magazine was started in March 2007 as I realised that there was little or no coverage of the racing. The competitors and their parents spend time and money and some get sponsors, but they had nothing to show potential or existing sponsors.
I started it as Kent Karting as I planned to concentrate on the 3 Kent circuits. I did this for the first year, but have now added Rye House to the coverage of events at Bayford, Buckmore and Lydd. I also now cover all the F6 meetings, which means a trip to Ellough Park & Whilton Mill plus two to Clay Pigeon.
The title changed to Southern Karting from September 2008 and will continue to cover the events at the four circuits, but may also include news and reports from further afield across the South of the country.
I include driver profiles, plus news items, in addition to reports and photographs of the MSA Sprint Racing at each venue. The endurance events at Bayford & Rye House are also covered as are the Junior Club events at Buckmore and Bayford.
In future it is hoped to also be able to include non-MSA racing from Lydd, plus some other Hire Kart events from Buckmore and Bayford.
